On the occasion of Florens 2012 – International Week of Cultural and Environmental Heritage, Once Extraordinary Events followed the preparations and operational phases of the three events: Mysterium Crucis, the Cross of Piazza Santa Croce and the Garden of Olives.
THE CROSS OF PIAZZA SANTA CROCE “site specific work” by the international artist Mimmo Paladino. Once Extraordinary Events was responsible for the feasibility studies of the project, the selection of the material (blocks of marble and granulate) at the Henraux quarry in Querceta (LU), the logistics, the management of the set-up works, the exceptional transports, the road system, and of bureaucratic relationships.
MYSTERIUM CRUCIS sacred display of crucifixes by Brunelleschi, Donatello and Michelangelo in the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Florence.
Once Extraordinary Events took care of every detail of the event:
– design and construction of the stand;
– bureaucratic relationships;
– welcome guests;
– communication.
“Mysterium Crucis”, inaugurated by Cardinal H.E. Giuseppe Betori, Metropolitan Archbishop of Florence, saw the participation of Armand Puig i Tàrrech, full professor of New Testament at the Theological Faculty of Catalonia and Sergio Givone, Councilor for Culture and Contemporary Affairs of the Municipality of Florence. The sacred exhibition, conceived by Sergio Risaliti in collaboration with Francesco Vossilla, was visited by over 25,000 people in just 10 days.
THE GARDEN OF OLIVE TREES Once designed and created “The Garden of Olive Trees” in Piazza San Giovanni in Florence, selecting 72 centuries-old olive trees from the Pistoiesi Nursery Association, designing and creating the layout of the square and coordinating exceptional transport.
