STEFANO RICCI 45TH ANNIVERSARY

On the occasion of Pitti Uomo 91, Once Extraordinary Events curated the Gala dinner for the Florentine fashion house Stefano Ricci. It took place in the Sala Bianca of Palazzo Pitti, reopened after 35 years where, in 1952, the concept of men’s and made in Italy fashion was born. The Florentine entrepreneur and stylist celebrated his 45 years of activity with a spectacular fashion show.

The location
The White Room, so called due to the white stuccoes of neoclassical taste that Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo Habsburg Lorraine commissioned to embellish Palazzo Pitti, is the symbolic place of the first catwalks in the history of Italian fashion. It was chosen in 1952 by Giovan Battista Giorgini, an aristocrat, skilled businessman with a passion for fashion, to show the Italian collections of the moment to the most important buyers in the world.

The parade
The protagonists are Stefano Ricci’s models with tailored suits that tell the philosophy of beauty and elegance of the entrepreneur designer who, once again, wanted to pay homage to his Florence, the “capital of style”. And so, among the 18 meters of catwalk, framed by a triumph of 11 thousand white roses and 1,050 light bulbs set on the magnificent Bohemian crystal chandeliers that illuminate the large rectangular room, Stefano Ricci put man on stage, with an elegant which takes us back in time.

At the event, welcomed during the entrance route by carriages with majestic horses, deployed men-at-arms and falconers, 200 notable guests including Ermanno Daelli, Toni Scervino, Annie Féolde, Giorgio Pinchiorri, Natasha Stefanenko, Ion Tiriac, Nicole Scherzinger and the mayor of Florence Dario Nardella. For them, an extraordinary dinner by Enoteca Pinchiorri, a further symbol of Florentineness. Also on the catwalk was an exceptional star: maestro Andrea Bocelli accompanied by his sons Matteo and Amos.

Gala dinner
Once Extraordinary Events has the task of creating this event. The agency directed the entire production, taking great care of the careful historical-documentary research, the management of relations with the institutions in particular with the Uffizi Galleries, the conception and creation of the exhibitions, the selection and coordination of the suppliers and the staff employed, both for the fashion show and for the gala dinner, taking care of every organisational, technical and logistical aspect.
